Everything you need to know about Sunny Start

Yes! Sunny Start Home Daycare is fully licensed by the state (License #HC-2026-00142) and carries comprehensive liability and accident insurance. All caregivers are CPR/First Aid certified and have passed FBI background checks.

We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).

We accept a maximum of 12 children to ensure every child receives personalized attention and care. Our small group sizes are one of the things parents love most about Sunny Start.

For the health and safety of all children, sick children with fever (100.4°F+), vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious illness must stay home. Children can return 24 hours after symptoms resolve without medication.

We provide a nutritious home-cooked breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack daily. All meals are balanced and include fresh fruits and vegetables. We accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions — just let us know your child's needs!

Parents receive secure login credentials to access our 256-bit encrypted live camera feeds from any device. We have 4 cameras covering the infant room, toddler room, preschool room, and outdoor play area. Camera access is included with our CamWatch subscription ($29.99/month).

We use positive guidance and redirection techniques. We never use physical punishment, shaming, or time-outs. Instead, we help children understand feelings, develop problem-solving skills, and learn appropriate behavior through modeling and gentle guidance.

Absolutely! We have an open-door policy. Parents are welcome to visit, observe, or join activities at any time during operating hours. We believe transparency builds trust.
