Spring Activities for Toddlers: Learning Through Play

Spring brings wonderful opportunities for outdoor learning! At Sunny Start, we're planning nature walks to observe budding flowers and insects, planting a small vegetable garden (kids love watching things grow!), creating art with natural materials like leaves and flower petals, water play and sensory bins with spring themes, bug hunts with magnifying glasses, rainbow-themed color sorting activities, kite flying on windy days, mud kitchen play (messy but educational!), bird watching and feeder making, and rain puddle stomping (with proper rain gear, of course!). These activities build motor skills, scientific thinking, and a love of nature.
